Protest UPenn’s Drone Research – Opening Day of Penn Relays!
April 23, 2015 @ 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm
freeProtest University of Pennsylvania’s Drone Research on the Opening Day of the Penn Relays!
Thurs., April 23, Noon – 4p.m., 34th & Walnut Streets, Phila., PA 19104
Thousands from around the world will be at UPenn for these historic games. And will hear our message!
UPenn has a high level engineering lab, the GRASP [General Robotics, Automation, Sensing and Perception] Lab, that continues to research and develop drone technology, funded by the Pentagon for drone warfare. Few people know about it, and should.
Young people, and their families, come from many parts of the country and around the world to watch and participate in the Penn Relays. People need to know what is going on at Penn besides the games. They need to know about the research work being done at UPenn that is the starting point for drone killing.
We’ve been at UPenn before during the Penn Relays, amidst the huge crowds, with signs, banners, and leaflets We’ll be there again. 34th and Walnut St. on Thursday, April 23, from Noon to 4:00 p.m.
Please come out for any period of time you can, but especially between Noon to 2:00p.m. when there is heavy pedestrian traffic.
