Monday, 4th of July, Olde City Philadelphia – Join us during the Olde City July 4th parade, as it passes in front of Phila. Federal Courthouse, 601 Market Street. (Market between 6th & 7th Streets)
Protest today’s shadow of death across our constitutional rights and independence: drone warfare and spying. Hold up the posters (provided) with the shadow of a drone across the constitution and the message Stop Drone Warfare & Spying, along with drone silhouettes on poles and large banners.
Parade passes in front of Phila. Federal Building Courthouse with floats and red, white, and blue pageantry, waving flags after stepping off from Independence Hall. We stand in protest of the national commitment to endless war and in anticipation of the Democratic National Convention coming to Philadelphia, July 25 – 28: DRONE WAR IS DEMOCRATS WAR.
We celebrate a legacy of dissent by practicing it. What better day, Independence Day, and what better place than Philadelphia to do just that.
Beginning at 10:o0a.m., gather in front of the Phila. Federal Courthouse, 601 Market Street. Get there early and take your place in line.
