This classic bio-pic from 1976, the American Bicentenial year, tells the story of the early days of the young man who wrote and sang “This Land is Your Land”, and who set the lives of struggling workers and poor people to music during the Great Depression, Woodrow Wilson [Woody] Guthrie .

Woody would go on to pen thousands of songs, poems, and short stories, as well as befriend and inspire the likes of Pete Seeger, Leadbelly, and Bob Dylan.  Many of his songs were and remain anthems propelling people from picket line to picket line
