Sun., August 9, 2015, Nagasaki Day, 7:30p.m. – Sundown Peace Ceremony to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (nothing less!) and celebrate the visit of Pope Francis to the Philadelphia.
Market Street Bridge, corner of Market Street and Schuylkill Ave., across from 30th Street Station (east side).

Bring an umbrella in the event of rain.

Mourn the nuclear world. Celebrate Pope Francis’ visit to Philadelphia (Sept. 26 – 27)  and his call for the abolition of all nuclear weapons.

August 9, 1945, Nagasaki, Ground Zero, St. Mary’s Urakami Catholic Cathedral.  The world’s second atomic bombing destroyed the largest Catholic population in all of Asia.
