Phila. Olde City 4th of July Parade – STOP DRONE WARFARE & SPYING

Saturday, 4th of July, Olde City Philadelphia – Join us during the Olde City July 4th parade, as it passes in front of Phila. Federal Courhouse.
Protest today’s shadow of death across our constitutional rights and independence: drone warfare and spying. Hold up posters provided with the shadow of a drone across the constitution and the message Stop Drone Warfare & Spying, along with drone silhouettes on poles and large banners

Parade passes in front of Phila. Federal Building Courthouse with floats and red, white, and blue pageantry,  cheers of thousands and waving flags after stepping off from Independence Hall.

Note that this year’s opening ceremony commemorates the 50th anniversary of the first major LGBTQ protest in the United States, and the 50th anniversary of the Voting Rights Act of 1965.

We celebrate that legacy of dissent by practicing it.
What better day, Independence Day, and what better place than Philadelphia to do just that.

Beginning at 10:o0a.m., gather in front of the Phila. Federal Courthouse, 601 Market Street. Get there early and take your place in line.
